Introducing PUSD Arts New Logo!
A design by Olive Lalli, a junior at Pasadena High School, is the new logo for the Pasadena Unified School District's Arts Education department. Olive's entry in the PUSD logo design competition was selected by a team of arts professionals, who cited the "freshness of the design," that communicates a "retro and contemporary feel." The selection committee also noted that the PUSD element could be interpreted as an artist's palette, representing the visual arts, while the "speak bubble" effect translated into drama, or that the "arts give students a voice." Olive created her winning design in her graphic design class, taught by teacher Brooke Kent.
PUSD Arts T-Shirts are available for sale at $15 a piece, $12.00 for students through the Arts Education Office and benefit the the PUSD Arts Fund held by the Pasadena Educational Foundation. To purchase a T-shirt visit the Arts Ed. Office in Room 219 at the Ed Center, 351 S. Hudson Ave.
